about us

The aim of this website is to provide information about the club for its members, visitors and anyone interested in photography.
We are a small and friendly camera club in Angmering, West Sussex, whose members have a range of photographic experience from beginners to advanced amateurs.

The aim of the Club is to encourage the development and enjoyment of photography, through practical workshops and field trips, without an overbearing emphasis on competitions. The Club holds an Annual Exhibition of members’ work in September.

The club was founded in 2010 and over the years has had a small but active membership, from Angmering and nearby villages. Members meet at the Angmering Community Centre, Foxwood Avenue, Angmering, BN16 4FU. Meetings are held from 7pm to 9pm on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, from September to June. Visitors are welcome.

Annual Subscriptions: From Sept 2023 Individual - £30 per person, Joint - £40 per couple, plus £5 towards the cost of refreshments at meetings.

An on-going Club project involves the recording/photographing of the refurbishment and development of Highdown Gardens, as part of their National Lottery Heritage Fund Project. This started in Autumn 2019 and, despite delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic lock-down, has been an exciting challenge for members - see more here.

In 2018 Angmering Camera Club agreed to work with Club Photo de Ouistreham, France. The association between the two clubs came about as a result of introductions by Angmering/Ouistreham Twinning/Jumelage. The clubs, which are broadly the same size, have similar photographic aspirations.

In addition to this website, Angmering Camera Club has a presence on Facebook, Flickr and Instagram social media sites.
